ImGiggin Membership Guidelines
ImGiggin has strict membership guidelines. We have set such guidelines for several reasons:
1. To establish exclusivity, creating an intimate environment where the most influential people in the industry can network and collaborate effectively.
2. To offer visibility to hidden talent that would not normally have access to the top gigs in the industry.
3. To recognize industry professionals based on true talent, repertoire and professionalism.
4. To create a recognizable, industry standard of merit
For those of you who anticipate being accepted into our network, understand the importance of each of these areas. You will learn to appreciate these areas even more as active members. The quality of the site is in direct relation to the quality of its members and we have invited only the best to participate.
HOW IT WORKS
There are four main steps involved in the membership process when audition or registering:
1. The application form
2. The audition video
3. Your resume (for non-performing professionals).
4. Your Bio
These are submitted in unison along with an application.
The submission form is quick and easy to fill out. It involves entering certain personal and background information that will supplement the audition video and/or resume. Please keep in mind that you must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Any applicant under the age of 18 is considered a minor and must have consent from a parent or legal guardian. Details can be found in the Terms of Services.
In the case where your profession does not entail submitting a visual performance (i.e. technical crew, administration, etc.), you have the option to waive the video portion of the audition. Be advised that your résumé and references are that much more important for us to evaluate your credentials.
An audition video should be no longer than 3 minutes and should include you, the applicant, performing live on camera as you would at any live audition. The use of original music or public domain music is a must. We do not except explicit material. Videos or music with such content will be immediately removed from our database at our discretion.
After a successful submission, you will have the opportunity to create your own ImGiggin profile to accompany your audition. You will be able to upload additional audio files and photos. A biography will be generated from the information you entered into your application form.
Your audition video and/or profile will post to our page within 1 hour after submission, depending on server traffic at the time. It will then be accessible to our voting public.
ACCELERATE YOUR REVIEW PROCESS!!
Just as we value the voices of our colleagues at ImGiggin and as entertainers appreciate peer recognition, you too can utilize your family and friends to assist you in the audition process. All submitted audition videos will be accessible to registered visitors on ImGiggin.com. Call all your friends and family! They can vote on your audition for free and help quicken your review.
A visitor who registers and votes on the site is referred to as a Supporter. A Supporter can only vote once per audition submission.
There is a very simple point system that helps us keep track of the auditions.
Supporter vote = 1 point Elite Member vote = 200 points
All applicants that reach the 1000-point mark are automatically flagged for immediate review. It doesn’t guarantee you membership into the Elite Membership area, but it does place your audition at the top of the list for review by ImGiggin Admin and the review board.
Elite Members will occasionally vote on auditions. They like to be involved with who gets into the Elite Members area. You’ll receive 200 points per Elite Member vote. Those are tougher to receive as members are very critical of who they want joining ImGiggin. Just as Admin is very selective, members are also looking for the best-of-the-best to maintain the group’s standard of quality that they have helped establish.
Whether you have 1,000 votes or 15,000 votes, the ImGiggin review board ultimately makes the final acceptance decision. Voting is just an accelerator to the review process. We allow your video to stay on the site for up to 1 year. If you have not made it to review by then, you will have to resubmit your application and audition video. This is a good time to regroup and improve upon your skills and performance. If you choose to renew your audition, you will have 30 days to do so without losing your current vote status. After the 30 days, your vote count will expire.
ONCE YOU’VE BEEN REVIEWED…
If you unquestionably meet the qualifications before reaching the 1,000 vote level, you will receive a personal invitation to join the ImGiggin network from administration. Membership fee schedules and other pertinent information on member benefits and site conduct will be explained at that time.
If your audition video or resume warrant a second look, the information on your application will assist us in locating you for further review or for contacting references who may speak on your behalf. We will let you know if we need more information or if we would like you to submit a second video at no additional charge to you. This is why your resume, references and contact information are so important.
If you are not granted membership in to the Elite area for whatever reason, we will send you a thank you letter for your submission, encourage you to continue honing your skills and welcome you to apply again in 30 days. The information on the application will be discarded immediately for your privacy. Only your name and email address and a chosen number of voter points, which will be determined by Admin an based on your entire review, will remain in our database for continued visitor access to the public sections of ImGiggin.com and to receive promotional emails, if you so choose. Don’t be discouraged if you are not granted membership on your first attempt. Don’t assume this is your easy way in to the top. Live auditions are just as challenging. It will be the most determined and talented that will be recognized by our review board and many of our top members.
